Dr. Tara Blair

Dr. Tara Blair joined Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic in 2008. The Folkston, Georgia, native has a passion for working with animals; she began her veterinary career path in 7th grade, working at Holmes Animal Clinic, where she also spent some summers working in college. She did volunteer work at the Okefenokee Swamp in Folkston as a biologist assistant, helping band red-cockaded woodpeckers, conducting bird surveys, working customer relations and serving as a wild life camp counselor. During two internships she worked at Clayton Animal Hospital in North Georgia and Satilla Animal Hospital in Waycross. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2000 with an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with emphasis in animal health, continuing on to receive her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She is the proud owner of three dogs- her Great Dane-Tallulah Daphne, and Maggie Ann, and Satie both labs and a cat named Stolley.
