About Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic


Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic opened its doors December of 2004. The Clinic is located in beautiful Brunswick, Georgia at 573 Palisades Drive in the Southpoint Mall, just beyond the I-95 Interchange at the junction of HWY US 17 and HWY 82.  Clients should feel free to call us at 912-554-8388 (VETT), with any questions or concerns.


We believe that our patients should always come first, and we are dedicated to meeting their needs.


Meet the Staff:


Dr. Shireen Hamid is a native of Chester, South Carolina.  She graduated from Clemson University in 1997, and moved on to receive her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 2001.  She has practiced in Brunswick since graduation and has brought all of her cutting-edge technology with her to Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic.  Her long term goal for the clinic is to expand and create a 24 hour Emergency Clinic to serve Glynn and all of the surrounding counties.  She also is the proud owner of 5 dogs, 4 cats and 2 horses of her very own!


Jean Williams is a native of Reno, Nevada.  She has been a resident of Brunswick, Georgia for 23 years, currently residing in Brantley County.  Jean has been employed by Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic since it opened in December 2004.  Jean has also spent over 10 years providing customer service. She is the proud owner of 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 fish.


Michele Blackburn is a native of Brunswick, Georgia.  She has a passion for working with animals and is very happy to be working with the crew at Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic since it opened in December of 2004.  Michele has spent 15+ years providing excellent customer service.  She is the proud owner of 4 dogs and 2 cats.


Ashley Young is a resident of Brantley County, Georgia.  She graduated from Brantley County High School with a distinction in the healthcare field. For the last 11 years, Ashley has been involved in horse shows (pleasure, halter, English, and barrels).


Amanda Waller is a native of the great state of Virginia.  She became one of the Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic crew in May of 2005.  Amanda is presently attending Coastal Georgia Community College as a Pre-Vet student.  She is the proud owner of a horse, 1 dog and 1 cat.


Brenda Woodcock is a resident of Waynesville, Georgia.  She is trained in client services and patient care with a specialty in the veterinary office setting. She owns horses and dogs.  Brenda's smiling face is the first one you will see when you visit our clinic and her cheerful voice is the first one you will hear when you call us!


Jennifer Anderson graduated with her Master's degree from Norwich University in 2005.  Jennifer is Dr. Hamid's assistant on the business side of the fence.  She is a native of Brunswick, Georgia and participates in many of the local animal rescue organizations.  Jennifer is raising 7 dogs, 3 cats, 6 horses and 2 children on a farm in Hortense, Georgia.


Gilbert the cat has been a resident of Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic since December 2004.  He was rescued by Dr. Hamid and the staff, and has been the clinic mascot (along with the rest of the waggin' train) ever since! MEOW!
